Three of the members of our seminar series will be giving papers in the coming IFTR World Congress "Theatre and Stratification" hosted by the School of Theatre, Performance and Cultural Policy Studies at the University of Warwick in the UK.
Clara Escoda's paper "Ethics, Precariousness and the 'Inclination' towards the Other in debbie tucker green's Dirty Butterfly (2003), Laura Wade's Posh (2010) and Martin Crimp's In the Republic of Happiness (2012)" will be presented in the Political Performances Working Group.
As part of the New Scholar's programme, Elisabeth Massana will present the paper "Bodies on/off Stage: Towards an Analysis of the Performance of Terror in Post-9/11 British Theatre" and Marta Tirado will speak about "Ethical Responsability and Emancipated Spectatorship in Sarah Kane's Plays"
